Ingress Protection testing

Ingress Protection testing is a protocol put in place for quality assurance in environment endurance. Our high-quality products are also put through stringent Ingress Protection test to withstand the test of time and to provide the dependable lighting required. Two-digit ingress protection (IP) ratings are defined by the IEC 60529 standard and specify the degree to which an environmental enclosure protects against the intrusion of solid particles (represented by the first digit) and water (represented by the second digit).

Thermal testing

Energy can come from many forms, and it can change from one form to another but can never be lost. This is the First Law of Thermodynamics. A byproduct of nearly all energy conversion is heat, which is also known as thermal energy. MESTAR designs and tests our product for unwanted accumulated heat.  Because heat can cause a premature shorten lamp’s life, we strive to decrease heating problem with Thermal testing and measurement and introduce into our design the durability that last a life time of usage.

Luminaire testing

In order to verify the performance of our products, we simulate the surrounding to match the environment where our products will be installed. Luminaire testing integrates the computer design with a simulated installation location to achieve a match between the design for environment and the actual installation. It helps us to understand the products’ behavior and performance and maximize our efficiency and at the same time increase the ever increasing expensive maintenance cycle.

Lamp testing and measurement.

At MESTAR, our integrated sphere is the main equipment in lamp testing and measurement, whether it be a study of lamp output versus the mounting position or temperature different.
